Easy Apple Pie

{I Think I Can}: Easy Apple Pie with Streusel Topping

This morning I needed to take a pie into our local nursing home.  They have homemade pie day twice a month,
where volunteers bring in pies for the residents to enjoy.

I wanted to do something easy, since I didn't have a lot of extra time, so I decided to use a jar of my
canned apple pie filling from earlier this year!
It was ready to go in the oven in no time!

(Proving handy to have on hand, once more!)

EASY APPLE PIE
(WITH STREUSEL TOPPING)

1 9-inch pie crust
1/2 recipe of apple crisp topping
cinnamon

Place crust into 9 inch pie pan.  Pour pie filling into crust. Sprinkle with the streusel topping, then a little cinnamon over top.  Bake @ 325 for 15 min. then at 350 for 45 min. longer.  ENJOY!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I made a full batch of the streusel topping, and it was too much, so next time I'll just make a half a recipe,
so there's no leftovers tempting me to eat them!

    1. Thanks Deonna! I am enjoying all your posts on your blog! I appreciate your openness and wisdom in your "What is God's Will for Me" series right now, can't wait for the next post! :) I found you through the contest with Darcy. Darcy is a friend of a friend, & that's how we got connected! I have been learning a lot from her as I start MY own sewing business. I'm bummed I didn't win the pillow though. But I'm still SMILING :)

I plan to apply for your reader of the week, after I start my Etsy shop. My goal is to have that started early 2014. So It'll be next year once I get around to filling out your application. But I actually had already planned on it! But thanks so much for telling me personally--that is so SWEET of YOU! :)

      Have a great week!
      Rhonda

p.s. that grey & yellow one sold REALLY fast, it was a Hot Item! :)
